🌟 Product Description

The RAMPS 1.5 Shield is an Arduino Mega-compatible controller board for RepRap and DIY 3D printers. RAMPS stands for RepRap Arduino Mega Pololu Shield. It works with an Arduino Mega 2560 and plug-in stepper drivers such as A4988, DRV8825, and compatible StepStick modules. The board provides connections for up to five stepper-driver channels, three heaters, three thermistors, endstops, fans, servos, LCD controllers, and other 3D-printer accessories. Stepper drivers and Arduino Mega are typically sold separately.

Important usage note:

RAMPS 1.5 is a controller shield and normally requires an Arduino Mega 2560, stepper-driver modules, a suitable power supply, motors, thermistors, and printer firmware. The maximum heater and bed current depends on the exact PCB, MOSFETs, connectors, wiring, power supply, and cooling. Use correctly rated cables, fuses, terminals, and external MOSFETs or solid-state relays when the heated-bed load exceeds the board’s safe capacity. Confirm the exact board version before applying 24V.
