🌟 Product Description

The CNC Shield V3.0 for Arduino Uno is a compact expansion board designed to connect an Arduino Uno with plug-in stepper motor driver modules such as the A4988 and DRV8825. When paired with GRBL firmware, it provides a practical control platform for CNC routers, laser engravers, plotters, and other multi-axis machines. The shield simplifies wiring by combining stepper sockets, microstepping jumpers, limit-switch terminals, spindle or laser control, and auxiliary connections on one board. Stepper drivers, Arduino Uno, motors, and power supply are typically sold separately.

🔑 Key Features

  • Compatible with Arduino Uno and Uno R3-style boards
  • GRBL-compatible CNC expansion design
  • Four stepper-driver sockets for X, Y, Z, and A axes
  • Supports A4988, DRV8825, and compatible StepStick drivers
  • Microstepping jumper settings for each axis
  • STEP and DIR signal routing for precise motion control
  • Six limit-switch connections for X, Y, and Z axes
  • Spindle enable, spindle direction, and coolant-control outputs
  • Global stepper-driver enable control
  • Emergency-stop or auxiliary control connections on common versions
  • Plug-and-play layout for DIY CNC machines
  • Suitable for NEMA 17 and compatible stepper motors when correctly driven

Important usage note:

The CNC Shield V3.0 is an interface board and does not directly drive stepper motors. It requires an Arduino Uno, compatible plug-in drivers, an external motor power supply, and suitable firmware. Install each driver in the correct orientation because reversing a driver module can damage both the driver and shield. Set the driver current limit before operating the motors, and verify the exact board’s power rating and pinout before applying voltage.
